Author Guidelines
1.1 Comprehensive Review
Reviews focusing on the author's unique research while comprehensively explaining recent advancements and their background in the field from a broad perspective.
Extensive references are required.
The manuscript should be written under single-authorship and should be less than 7,500 words including the abstract (120 words), main text, acknowledgements, references, author biography (60 words), figures, tables, and captions.
Each figure/table is to be counted as 100 words, so be mindful not to exceed the word limit.
1.2 Tutorial Review
Easy-to-understand reviews on a specific topic especially for non-experts and student members.
Basic references are required.

1.3 Perspective
Concise overviews on a specific topic with recently significant advancements.
Recent references are required.

Each figure/table is to be counted as 100 words to the manuscript, so be mindful not to exceed the word limit.
1.4 Research Report
Concise articles introducing the author's research, especially including measurement techniques, device innovations, research insights, and problem-solving experiences.
The manuscript should be written by up to 4 authors and should be less than 3,000 words including the abstract (120 words), main text, acknowledgements, references, author biography (60 words), figures, tables, and captions.
Each figure/table is to be counted as 100 words to the manuscript, so be mindful not to exceed the word limit.
2. After Submission
The editorial committee will review and make decisions accordingly: acceptance or revision.
3. Proofreading
The author is requested to proofread only the first draft.
Additions during proofreading are not permitted in principle.
4. Manuscript Fee
The Japan Society of Applied Physics will pay a manuscript fee to the author in accordance with their rule.
5. Copyright
The comprehensive copyright, including electronic uses, of all articles published in OYO BUTURI belongs to the Japan Society of Applied Physics.
In addition, authors shall not assert their moral rights upon the transfer of copyright.
6. Reprinting from Other Works
When figures, tables, photos, or parts of text from other works are contained, permission must be obtained from the author or the publisher.
Permission is also required from the publisher for the author's own works.
The author is responsible for handling these procedures.
