Call for nominations: 18th (2017) JSAP Outstanding Achievement Award

The Japan Society of Applied Physics (hereinafter referred to as “JSAP”) will present the JSAP Outstanding Achievement Award for the members who have made distinguished achievements in the development of applied physics. We look forward to receiving your nominations. Self-nominations are also welcomed. Please review the following information and JSAP Outstanding Achievement Award Stipulations before nomination.

1) Research achievements
The achievements that have made a particularly outstanding contribution to the academic field and/or industrial field through new discoveries, inventions, theories, experiments, etc.
The number of awards given each year shall be, in principle, no more than two.
2) Educational achievements
The achievements that have made a particularly outstanding contribution to the fostering and enlightenment of students and young researchers and engineers, in relevant research fields.
The number of awards given each year shall be no more than one.
This award shall be presented to, in principle, individual members who have made the aforementioned achievements.
The awarding ceremony will be held during 2018 JSAP Spring Meeting. The awardees will also be asked to give a commemorative talk during the meeting.
