How to Join
An applicant for Regular Membership should be an individual who has a background in applied physics. An applicant for Student Membership should be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student who is interested in applied physics. The admission fees are 2,000 Yen for Regular Members and 1,000 Yen for Student Members. The basic annual dues are 10,000 Yen (plus overseas postage) for Regular Members and 6,000 Yen (plus overseas postage) for Student Members. Those who wish to subscribe to to the online edition of the APPLIED PHYSICS EXPRESS and the JAPANESE JOURNAL OF APPLIED PHYSICS, published in English, are requested to pay 12,000 Yen (in the case of a loan). Additionally, to subscribe to the paper edition, one is requested to pay 20,000 Yen (plus overseas postage) in advance in addition to the basic dues.
In order to apply for admission, click on the link and follow the procedure. Normally, it takes one and a half months to obtain approval for membership.
Membership dues should be paid after approval.
