Q1:

What is a “Senior Member”?

A1:

“Senior Member” is a newly introduced membership class in 2009. To be eligible for application, candidates must be a regular member aged 60 years old and older with no steady job. If you have applied for by the end of September, the discount for annual membership fees will be applicable from the following year.

Q2:

I don’t have any JSAP member who recommends me. What should I do?

A2:

Please e-mail us your personal data: 1) name, 2) affiliation, 3) specialized field and 4) the reason for admission. Then we will transfer it to our board and ask them to be your introducer. We will e-mail you by return after we have got their approval.

Q3:

What will happen if I behind with the payments?

A3:

If you get behind with your membership payment for three months, shipments of journals will be shut down (*except for some journals). If you fall behind in your payment for one and a half year, we will resign your membership.

Can I pay for the membership fee by credit card?

A4:

Yes, we accept VISA and MASTER.

  • 1. Log in to your page with your WebID and password*
  • 2. Choose “Credit” on the bottom right, and your payment information will appear.
  • 3. Enter your credit card information.
  • 4. Press the “Submit” button.

If you have forgotten your user ID& password, you could reissue them in the following way.

  • 1. Click on the link: https://www.jsap.or.jp/jsapweb/system/do/reissueIdEn
  • 2. Fill out the form and press the “Send” button.
  • 3. A temporary user ID and password will be sent immediately to your registered e-mail address.
  • 4. Change the temporary password within 24 hours, or it will expire and you will have to request another temporary password.
  • 5. Enter your password to login, and you can change your personal information including credit-card payment processing.

How can I resign my membership?

A5:

Please note that the membership qualification would renew automatically. Since JSAP membership runs from the 1st of January through the 31st of December, if you would like to resign from JSAP within the current year, please make sure to notify us by the 20th of November in the current year by e-mail. Or you will be charged the following year’s fees. Unfortunately, JSAP do not give you the opportunity to suspend your membership.
