表面・界面のX線・中性子散乱

物質表面や薄膜の結晶および磁気構造の観察に有力な表面散乱実験法を,
磁気金属薄膜/超格子の最近の研究を例に解説する.理想表面によるフレネル反射率と,
現実の表面の反射率を理解する上で重要なマスター公式を説明し, Si, Co 薄膜,
Co/Cr 超格子の X 線反射率, Fe/Cr 超格子のスピン偏極中性子反射率の実験結果を
紹介する. Co/Cr 超格子の Co 層の hcp-bcc 構造変化の研究を例に全反射回折法を
解説する.

Recent X-ray and neutron surgace scattering studies of magnetic metal thin films
and superlattices are reviewed. The fresnel and Master formula for the specular
reflectivity of ideal and real surface, respectively, are explained. We show
some experimental results of X-ray specular reflecrivity of Si, Co thin film,
and Co/Cr superlattices as well as spin-poralized neutron reflectivity of a
non-colinearly cooupled Fe/Cr superlattice. A recent surface scattering study
of hcp-bcc structural change of Co layers in Co/Cr(001) superlattices is reviewed
as an example of this method.
